Shane, That's likely because you're not closing each prepared statement - you should always make sure you close each statement, something such as: PreparedStatement stmt = conn.prepareStatement ("SELECT * FROM ABC WHERE XYZ = ?"); try { ....... } finally { stmt.close (); } If you can't solve this maybe you could post the section of code for us to look at?
