Hi Andres, > It´s a good idea. ¿how run java program in a listen mode?¿it´s efficient? Yes. We usually loop until a terminate message is sent and also use a shutdown hook. After processing all available messages, the program sleeps for a soft-coded length of time, wakes up and rechecks. By using a message queue, messages can even be sent manually and graceful shutdown is assured. > ¿can i use only one JVM in several jobs? Yes. That's the great thing about asynch procesing: everything is decoupled except the rendezous point and that can be soft-coded as well. We've been talking about a single process, but you could also have a centralized controller. I haven't gone to this extent yet for Java apps, but a long time ago we did similar with APPC. The main program collected requests and, based on what it was, called the appropriate program to process it. Even the calls were soft, so anything could be added. If i call to java programm interactivelly , ¿each job create a new JVM?. I think that each job is one JVM. In this case, not it´s good idea., although i can submit rpg program that call to java program insert in Oracle. ¿can i use only one JVM in several jobs?
