I have not used Scott's service program in the past, so I do not have an RPG sample... I used the poi code samples as a guide, and developed a test class that created a simple spreadsheet in one shot (as a starting point). Then, I created my wrapper class. You might try just simplfying in an effort to move forward. I know you do not want to "reinvent the wheel" when the *SRVPGM is available, but the java code samples for poi are fairly straight forward. If you create a more basic test class and get it working, it will familiarize you with the poi. Then, you could try adding an RPG interface to that test class to see what's happening at that level. If you do not wish to go this route, can you email Scott about it?
