Shane, I have used the poi before. Let me try to make a suggestion by comparing/contrasting the contexts of what you and I are doing... - I am creating a spreadsheet using the poi within a java agent running on a domino server - I created a wrapper class to simplify the interface to the poi classes Would you consider creating a wrapper class to simplify the interface to the poi (like using the facade pattern)? The reason I suggest this is threefold: - You may not need all of the functionality (methods) of the poi classes that you are using - You may be able to consolidate two or more of the poi method calls into ONE of your method calls - You will have an easier time interfacing your RPG program with a simplified interface that your wrapper class offers Brendan -----Original Message----- From: java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:java400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Shane_Cessna@xxxxxxx Sent: Friday, May 27, 2005 8:49 AM To: Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 Subject: RE: Jakarta POI HSSF question...
