Could you be kind enough to explain the mechanics of how this works?? Can you explain major steps involved or confirm mine below... Develop the java app using Eclipse. Using Axis, create a soap msg. Deploy the app on AS400. Run in Qshell, but how do I get the XML repose back onto the IFS?? It works quite nice and from what I understand IBM uses a lot of the same API's behind the scenes (i.e. WSDL2Java). It actually works quite nice. Create a simple Java object in a Dynamic Web Project that has a few methods passing simple data types (Strings, chars, Dates, etc), then right click on that class and select Webservices -> Deploy As Webservice. Interactively, it requires a soap formatted msg to be entered on this page and user to click submit button, it then provides an xml formatted file. How can I accomplish all this in a program using Java??? I need this xml file on the AS400, how would you do this???? Any samples or working codes will be great. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
