Handling a left pane refresh.

I have an application that lists customers on the left side in a frame, 
and the customer info is in the right hand frame.  If they add a new 
customer I am updating the vector that is used to load the left frame. How 
can I refresh that left frame when I send back my request data to the 
middle frame?  IE:
When I execute this part of the code I'd like to also update that left 
frame:

                        getServletConfig()
                                .getServletContext()
                                .getRequestDispatcher(
"schedule_middle.jsp")
                                .forward(req, resp);

Any ideas? TIA.
