Chris, I suggest you take a look at the numbers yourself. http://www.spec.org/osg/jbb2000/ Sun submitted a bunch of numbers, as did Fujitsu. Interestingly, AMD ran numbers comparing the IBM JVM with the Weblogic JRockit JVM, and IBM beat WebLogic by a little less than 10%. Personally, I'm more interested in the relative performance from the 840 to the 595; if that means I can crank my machine up to 10x performance of Java applications, that means my WebSphere interface just got a lot better.
