problem with special characters in RPGLE programs

This is a normal code conversion between the codepage for USA (1140) and 
the codepage for France (1147). In codepage 1140 the hex value "4F" means 
"|" and in codepage 1147 this hex value means "!". So you should try to 
handle the codepage in your Java program.
