I have no idea how M$ implements the DRDA spec, I just know that if they
did it right it should be able to connected to from other RDB's.

I though that SQL Server could only be an Application Requester.  Is
there a vesion where Application Server support was introduced ?  
 
Can you provide a link so I can do some reading to update myself ?

I think there are some FREE drivers for SQLserver but none for Access.
If you know that one exists, can you please tell us ?
