Scenario: A Java applet running on a desktop system (probably WinDoze, but
hopefully also Mac or Linux) that talks to an AS/400 through an FTP
connection.
Would anybody happen to know of a way to get the local file system's
file-extension-based icons to set the leaf icons for a JTree representing
the IFS? If I simply pass the pathname to FileSystemView.getSystemIcon(),
or FileView.getIcon(), or JFileChooser.getIcon(), and the pathname doesn't
exist anywhere visible to the local file system, it blows up with a Null
Pointer Exception in ShellFolder (a Sun-internal class).
