Tapkhirwala [mailto:pdt333@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 02 September 2004 15:29 To: java400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Supressing the AS400 Sign-on Dialog... Hello All, I have the construct as follows: m_AS400 = new AS400(HostName, sUsername, sPassword); m_AS400.setGuiAvailable(false); return m_AS400.validateSignon(); The sUserName and sPassword are retrieved from a configuration store. However when I execute the 1st statement, it pops up the sign-on dialog, I would like to get an exception if the logon failed, and then I can trap that and give a suitable warning to my clients. My problem is that I am running server code and it would not be nice for this pop up to start and user not being aware of it. I guess one of the solutions mentioned on the internet was to use the m_AS400.setGuiAvailable(false) but, I need to tell the AS400 constructor to give me an exception if the log on failed without popping the sign-on dialog. Does anyone have a sollution to this? - Regards Prashant SSA Global The Netherlands. -- This is the Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 (JAVA400-L) mailing list To post a message email: JAVA400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/java400-l or email: JAVA400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/java400-l.
