Yeah... I like Java as much as the next guy; I didn't mean to offend
anyone with my comment. There are a lot of great libraries out there for
download. Just look at the Apache project... enough said!

However, from my experience, when it comes to full-blown, finished,
usable products that someone can just install and use "out of the box" I
haven't seen much that was "free" (read: OSS) that was all that great.
That is just from my experience though and I didn't pre-qualify my
earlier statements with that information. I may be misinformed, but my
experiences in that area have not always been that great.

<chuckle>

Let's not get too riled here, Marc. SourceForge indeed has lots of
packages out there to help developers. Heck, I even have a package on
SourceForge (OS400Bridge). I think Jeff and I were just commenting on
the fact that the Java community is still more geared towards developers
than end users.

So let's keep it civil. You want to disagree, great, but let's try to
keep the more terms that have very negative overtones like FUD out of
it. I will attempt to do the same from my end. Deal?

terms <grin>)
