And lest there be any confusion, let me point out a subtle distinction here. I am NOT trying to "prove" that OO and/or Java is bad for business programming. What I am doing is presenting my reasons as to why I feel that way, with the explicit challenge to everybody here to provide evidence to the contrary. That's why I'm interested in pursuing this issue of creating some simple examples and comparing them to see what the benefits are. The currency conversion was a nice example, albeit a bit light, that I think pretty clearly showed that RPG is a lot cleaner than Java. On the other hand, if the OO and Java purists would like to jump in on this and provide some examples that bolster their position, then this could get quite interesting! At that point, I might even be willing to put aside some bandwidth for creating a forum for this stuff. I'm currently researching forum software, so I'll keep this in mind. Joe
