And what do you answer? stay with it? I'm asking this question too, with 
comparable results, but my answer is: change ist, use the technics the 
database provides.

Same experience as yours and my answer is again: use the technics the database 
provides. I've spent hours and hole days and nights in investigations what 
parts of a database are coruupted after a chnage of a program that better 
would not have been done. writing books and postings, talking about how 
clever one person is and the silly others is one thing and beeing responsable 
for the corrupted data of applications without commitment controll and 
without journaling another. I've done this job for about 10 years, before I 
began writing articles and teaching and speaking to conference attendees.
