Sorry im no expert on Tomcats data sources, 

but I would have thought that the userid and password would be specified
wherever you configure the datasource (server.xml maybe)

Try removing the *CURRENT and just using the server name, I think if it's a
local connection it should work (theory!)

Haven't tried, actually ... when I specified '*CURRENT' for the userid & 
password, I got a "no password set" exception (don't remember the actual 
exception that was thrown).
