AS400Message displaying incorrectly on web page




Hello,

I am using JTOpen version 3.3 (upgrade not possible) to retrieve an
AS400Message. The message file is in CCSID 5026, The user profile is 5026.
Using the MessageFile class from the toolkit I extract the data and attempt
to display it on a web page. The web page's encoding is SHIFT_JIS. The
portion of the message that is replacement text is displaying correctly,
but the message text and message help text show up as garbage. If I stop
the servlet inside the eclipse debugger I can see the message text and help
text as it should be (in Japanese) by looking at the AS400Message
variable's contents. However Nothing I have tried has worked to display the
information correctly in the browser window.

Has anybody else seen this type of behavior?  If so did you find a solution
or work around?
