Oracle JDBC thin connection pooling -- JAVA400-L

Hi All,
        I'm implementing number of java applications running on as400 and
connecting to Oracle database.
The only free driver I found for as400 is oracle thin driver. 
My question is :
        How to implement connection pooling ? 
        Is it possible to do it with "thin" driver.
        What are my options. 

Also I would like to share pool between separate applications. Should I use
WebSphere ?
