Also, I loaded the PTFs SI10765 and SI10767 which were related to java UDF
problems; but they didn't seem to help any.
I didn't realize that signing off was required (thanks by the way) but I
guess that makes sense.
The creation statement:
CREATE FUNCTION LBUCMUSR.SYSDOWN()
RETURNS VARCHAR(25)
LANGUAGE JAVA
SPECIFIC LBUCMUSR.SYSDOWN
NOT DETERMINISTIC
READS SQL DATA
EXTERNAL NAME 'storedprocs!getsysstate'
PARAMETER STYLE JAVA
FENCED;
The java:
import java.sql.*;
import com.ibm.db2.app.*;
public class storedprocs { //open class
public static String getsysstate() throws Exception
{
return "success";
}
} //close class
Thanks

Send us your Java source and your SQL CREATE statement. Maybe we can find
the problem.
By the way it seemed like I had to sign-off and on after making changes to
my Java class to see my changes during development.
Thanx, PLA
