WAS 5.x does not have a comparable setting for orphan timeout. Due to
changes in transaction container code, the setting is no longer pertinent.
I cannot answer question 2.

All,
In WebSphere 4.0 for a connection pool you can setup an orphan time-out for
the connection.
I can not find such a setting in WebSphere 5.x.
1. Does WebSphere 5.x have the capability to set an orphan time-out?
2. Does JT400 have the capability to detect orphaned connections?
Etienne
