Coming soon to an online magazine near you will be an article on a new
open source project available on SourceForge. The project is called
"OS400Bridge", and its intent is to provide access to an OS/400 JVM to
all JDBC drivers available for Windows.

The project is basically a proxy that will pass requests from the OS/400
application to a server running on a Windows box, which will in turn
access the appropriate JDBC driver. The project is in its infancy and
only slated to handle basic JDBC1 type functions (simple execute and
query statements). However, it's Open Source, so you'll be able to do
with it whatever you want.

The article will come out on MCMagOnline two weeks from today. We'll
probably have files to download before then, however.
