Has anyone been able to access a different DB using Java on the iSeries?
I am trying to extract data from a Progress DB server running on a Windows
2000 Box into the iSeries. I found that there are no type 4 JDBC drivers for Progress DB.

If the database does not have a type 4 JDBC driver, I suspect you're out of luck.

Chances are unlikely that a type 2 JDBC driver for the database exists that runs on the iSeries.

For those who are unfamiliar with the various JDBC driver 'types', a type 4 driver is 100% pure java with no native components. JT400 is a type 4 driver. Type 2 drivers have native components.
