Hi Nelson,

just to clearify, if the jdk level is your problem: If something works, than 
the Mod 0 jdbc driver of the toolbox should do it. It was shipped with every 
V4R2 Box. The Mod 1 shuold be possible too, it was shipped with V4R3 of 
OS/400. If you don't have any possibility to get access to a V4R2 or V4R3 
Box, send me an eMail and I will try to help you.
