Hi,

there is a jdbc tutorial at the www.sun.com and that's all you need, that 
might be platform dependent. if you are searching for as400 specific stuff, i 
recommend a book about best practices in java covering design issues; a well 
designed java application doesn't need any special as400 stuff.
This includes, that mixing up rpg with java, is not part of best practices 
for j2ee applications.
