What precisely do 'they' like? This'll be important in a moment... > We are wanting to replace the presentation > layer with Java/HTML. Why? This is not a sarcastic question in the slightest; rather, understanding the business requirement behind the move will dictate every aspect of the actual transition, including how to get RPG folks to learn and use Java. What 'they' like is crucial to understanding what is happening. If you could describe the benefits _your_ organisation wants to get out of a Java/HTML front end, the list might be able to provide more focussed answers. You'll also probably hear some debate over whether the perceived value is real or not, but what matters is _your_ company's perception (unless it's wildly off-planet.) --buck
