Subject: ending Java program called by RPG

I have a Java program being called by RPG that will not die. When I first
looked at it this morning in wrkactjob it had a status if INEL saying that
the first thread was ineligible. I tried to end the job and it just will
not end. How do I make this job end? and how do I keep this from happening
again?
