Extension too long in file name?


I'm trying to ftp the files Javamail.class and Javamail.java from my PC to
a folder on the AS/400.  I keep getting the error
message "Extension too long in file name; must be between 1 and 3
characters."

After I connected to the AS/400 and logged on, I entered the commands
below:

1) quote site namefmt 1
2) bin
3) cd /qdls/Javautil/Javamail
4) send Javamail.java

After entering the "send" command is when I get the error message.  Any
ideas on how to ftp those .class and .java files?
