Chris, You can create an exit program to set this up for you. The exit to use (wrkreginf) will vary depending on which driver you use (native or toolbox). The initialization exit is only called when the connection is established. We use these to set library lists based on the caller's environment so that programmers will generally get test and users will generally get production. David Morris >>> chris_price@xxxxxxxxx 05/08/03 8:31 AM >>> I am using an AS400ConnectionPool to manage a pool of AS400 objects in my WebApp. The AS400 objects will be used to run commands and RPG programs. To ensure the runtime environment for the RPG programs is correct I need to setup the library list and LDA on the AS400 connections, before handing them onto the App. Currently I am doing this everytime a connection is retrieved from the pool, but this is an unneccessary overhead when the connection has been recycled. Is there any reliable way of telling if an AS400 object retreived from AS400ConnectionPool is "new". Is it reasonable to test isConnected(COMMAND)? Or should I use a ConnectionPoolEvent? And if so how - the javadocs are very terse. Thanks, Chris.
