You all must have tried this, but my two cents to this issue.. The 'prompt=false' in the connection class of jdbc, does not show the signon information at the console and all the messages appear on the GUI end. If this was in a service such as > WebSphere, you might not even see the dialog anywhere. I'm using JTOpen 3.1. The user did not see the signon dialog when the connection hung ... although she DID see it when she was initially installing the program (when it creates the tables on DB2 database). She was informed that her password was about to expire and did she want to change it. She said no. One thing of note ... this application runs as a Win2000 SERVICE. Perhaps the normal GUI functions are suppressed when the application is running as a service? david _______________________________________________ This is the Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 (JAVA400-L) mailing list To post a message email: JAVA400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/java400-l or email: JAVA400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/java400-l.
