The user did not see the signon dialog when the connection hung ... although she DID see it when she was initially installing the program (when it creates the tables on DB2 database). She was informed that her password was about to expire and did she want to change it. She said no. One thing of note ... this application runs as a Win2000 SERVICE. Perhaps the normal GUI functions are suppressed when the application is running as a service? david
