I did not read my System API Reference carefully.

It looks like the *FIRST and *NEXT on the optional parm should do what I
what. Thanks for the help!

I wish MessageFile class has the same function so I don't have to write a
RPG for the java application. Maybe I will try to use *FIRST/*NEXT on
MessageFile class and see what happens.
