Thank you all for the help.

It looks like that both MessageFile and QMHRTVM api can get a message from a
message file, given a message ID.

In my case I only know the message file name and I wish to list all
available messages of this file programmatically. Is this possible?

(A awkward way of doing this is to DSPMSGD *PRINT then query the generated
spooled file. I hope there are better ways)
