Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to write a java routine for the as400 that can run NT batch files and unix shell scripts on the remote NT/unix machines? The machines are all on the same network. I would like to capture the output from the batch/shell scripts and send the collated results as an email to an administrator. (I am thinking along the line of piping the output from the scripts to a file, copy the files to the as400 via some ftp type classes, then send off the results via a System.exec() call to snddst.). Ideally I would like to keep the java routine platform independent, allowing me to run it on an NT machine if required. Thanks
