Thanks for that - I'll give it a go... Another related issue: I'm sure that it was possible to set up a user who was not able to sign on as an interactive user but could be used by java clients. I've tried this now and it gives a user disabled message Am I misremembering or was it possible to do this and not anymore? -----Original Message----- From: David Gibbs [mailto:david@midrange.com] Sent: 28 November 2002 17:33 To: java400-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: Suppressing signon prompt for AS400 connection from Windows *** WARNING - this email originates from the Internet *** At 05:46 AM 11/28/2002, you wrote: >Does anyone know if there is a way to suppress this prompt when using >AS400.class to connect? Take a look at the AS400 method "setGuiAvailable(boolean guiAvailable)". Theoretically, if you set the value false, it won't pop up a dialog box. I think it was broken in older versions of JT400, but has since been fixed. david _______________________________________________ This is the Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 (JAVA400-L) mailing list To post a message email: JAVA400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/java400-l or email: JAVA400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/java400-l. *********************************************************************** INVESCO UK can accept no responsibility for the nature of this e-mail.
