Not exactly. On most AS/400 code pages, $ is EBCDIC HEX 5B, and £ is EBCDIC HEX B1. On the UK code page, however, $ is 4A, £ is 5B, and [, for some reason, is B1. Exploring AS/400 EBCDIC code pages is absolutely fascinating, if you don't mind the roaring headache resulting therefrom. -- JHHL
