BTW, if this is a money amount, I would strongly suggest using com.ibm.math.BigDecimal which performs true decimal arithmetic and is a lot faster than java.math.BigDecimal. Not all fractional amounts convert properly to double, which is a binary representation.
What is the difference between Sun's BigDecimal and IBM's? java.math.BigDecimal does "true decimal arithmetic" too, right? Is it just the speed that's better? -- ____________________________________________________________ Glenn Holmer gholmer@weycogroup.com Programmer/Analyst phone: 414.908.1809 Weyco Group, Inc. fax: 414.908.1601
