Hi
I have recently upgraded to V5R1 and seem now to have a problem with the
speed of execution of my java code.
The application has no database access. It is a zipping program use to zip
reports then send them by email.
There is access to QDLS directory and I am aware this is slower but I have
to use it to support some legacy code.
The java code was written some time ago using jdk1.1.x this is also
necessary as this application runs on many AS400's
>From V4R2 to V5R1. Has anyone found java slower to execute on V5R1? Does
anyone have any tricks to speed up java
with out database access? I have also noticed the initial execution time to
be much slower on V5R1. I was wondering if this
Has something to do with having to use native extensions. Any ideas would be
great
Hamish
