Establishing a Connection and data access are two different things, so I think Connection Pooling would still be available though I'm not 100% sure. Are you using the native type JDBC driver? I use all SQL in my JDBC programs. That's what makes them portable to another database down the road, so I only use the "com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver" Joel R.
