You're right, Simon, this conversation has definitely run its course for this list. However, the questions that you're asking - specifically about ongoing maintenance and application of changes - are still very good ones. They just don't belong here <grin>. I don't know if you're a member of WEB400-L, because that would be an excellent place to discuss this concept. The questions that you're asking pertain to any form of web enabling, be it screen scrapers, WebFacing, RPG CGI or PSC400. Because this question is critical to the ongoing success of any application, I've paid particular attention to it, even though most other web enabling vendors seem to completely ignore it. But that's probably because my background is applications development. As the manager of architecture over at SSA, it was my responsibility to incorporate new architectures into existing shops, and that gives me a viewpoint that is perhaps unique. So, feel free to bring the issue up over at WEB400-L or drop me a line privately at joepluta@plutabrothers.com to discuss it further. Joe
