QZDASOINIT is ODBC server job.
If you get to it via JDBC, my guess would be that you are using non-native
JDBC driver.
Native driver will use different server jobs - QSQSRVR.

Folks:

Does anyone know all the situations where a new QZDASOINIT job would be
created?

I've got some java code that is doing JDBC access and program calls from a
PC. I've noticed that the number of QZDASOINIT jobs that are in my QSERVER
subsystem keeps growing, and it seems directly related to my code ... but I
can't tell exactly why.

Thanks!

david
