Group,

Sorry to keep pestering, but this is taking a long time and
I really am not making much progress.

I see quite a few inter-dependencies developing between
the various Java packages. There is also a growing
movement to compile pipelines of classes on the fly. Where
this is causing problems for me is with Batik. I know the Linux
server workaround, which is to install PJA in place of the
awt Toolkit. I cannot figure out how to replace java.awt on
the iSeries.

While doing more research today I came across the
RAWT classes and the jdkawt.jar. Do either of these
provides similar functionality that would replace the
standard java.awt package? It is starting to look like
RAWT is functionally equivalent to PJA.

Thanks again,

David Morris

Group,

I am trying to compile some classes on the iSeries that require some
AWT
classes. Does anyone know if it is possible to get the PJA
(http://www.eteks.com/pja/en/) classes to work on the iSeries? Along
that line, does the iSeries support the -Xbootclasspath extension? Is
the sun.awt.font.NativeFontWrapper available or has anyone attempted
to
port C++ source from Sun?

Thanks,

David Morris
