Gilles, I played around with FOP and Batik to generate SVG images a while back and it worked just fine. All I did was generate some lines and shapes. It did work fine though. I was trying to revive that work with the latest version of Batik and am now being thwarted by a tie to the AWT toolkit. I am hoping that the tie to AWT is superficial and can be removed. Barring that, I believe that the pure Java graphics support from the PJA package may allow graphics to work. I just started looking at it and am wondering why IBM pulled the font classes.
