I knew it would happen... I try to install WDT400 on my WinXP (Dutch). The VAJAVA installation wizard ends when showing the window 'Removing Backup Files'... These are the steps I followed: 1. Change default XP-locale to English US with keyboard Belgium(point) (in previous versions of WDT this was necessary) 2. Restarted system to check if default locale was changed (OK) 3. Add 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IBM\WDT400\Transient' (InstallScrcpath=G) 4. Run 'msisetup.exe' from DVD\install directory 3+4 explained on IBM Website: WDT400-FAQ 5. Insert Disk5 (VAJAVA PRO) 6. Launch installation of VAJAVA 7. Select language 'English VS' Window pops up with message 'Searching for installed applications' ' Property: REG353LANG, Signature:Find353Lang setup continues, showing window 'Welcom to the InstallShield Wizard for VisualAge for Java for Windows' 8. Select 'next' 9. Choose 'full install' (next installations= Modify) 10. Select 'next' Window 'Edit Features' is shown 11. Select 'next' (all is selected to install) 12. Select 'Install' Now statuswindow is shown. First the 'Installing the help system' completes Then 'Removing backup files' is started Here I see no progress at all, while disk-light is flashing. After a while I get a window 'InstallShield Wizard Completed' with a message : ********************************************************** * The wizard was interrupted before VisualAge for Java for Windows * could be completely installed. * Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at * another time, please run setup again. * Click 'finish' to exit the wizard. ********************************************************** any help welcome, as alway's...
