I'm creating a generic dataengine which can generically update, delete, and
insert into any JDBC data table.

I would like to via JDBC or ResultSetMetaData or DatabaseMetaData be able
to detect if the target file (table) is being journaled. I need to know
this to determine if I can have transactional control for commit and rollback.

Exceptions are thrown if certain JDBC operations are performed on
non-journaled files.

Anyone have any knowledge if this is possible via standard Java/JDBC?

Thanks, Paul Holm
