Mark, Thanks, I have seen some of the new debugging support, which looks promising. Lately, I haven't been following the Eclipse newsgroup group closely; I will look for that discussion. Like I said, I am looking forward to Eclipse, but too often, I tend to fall back to what I know. David Morris >>> MarkP@softlanding.com 01/15/02 02:55PM >>> David, As I understand it, what you are talking about is being able to change code while in the debugger and have it take effect immediately? This has been discussed in the Eclipse newsgroup. Apparently, VAJ does some custom hacks to the JVM to have this feature. This is one of the many reasons why VAJ is always so far behind on the Java level it supports. Apparently there are changes in the upcoming 1.4 version of the JDK that will allow tools to use this feature. You can use the beta of this JDK today with Eclipse/WSAD and apparently the feature works to some degree, although I believe there are some bugs. I have not personally tried it. I would recommend you join the Eclipse newsgroup and search the archives, just search for "hotswap". Hope this helps. Mark
