Webfacing: index.html loaded but Application not loaded in browser

Still trying to run my first WebFacing Project.
The project is exported to both WTE and WAS3.5.2

I can launch the 'index'-page by entering the url.
When I click the application-link, the browser is continuing for half an
hour and then replies that page is not available...
(In WTE even this reply is not comming up... and still running...)

I checked both WebFacing jobs on AS400 after launching the application:
1) QQFVTSVR is creating device descriptions (QQF38FE800)
2) QQFWFSVR is creating *DTAQ's (QQF38FE800)

I also checked the WAS-logs which doesn't show any specific errors...

My PC has :
WDT 5.1
SP 4

Our AS400:
V5R1M0
ALL available PTF's for ALL products
(including WebFacing PTF's)

1) any idea's where to look next???
2) is it possible to use own device names iso 'QQF38FE...') ?
