A colleague (who not available for me to pester) was looking into a distributed debugger which he hoped was going to allow him to step through java code as it executed on the iSeries (AS400). Does anyone out there know how to go about setting this up and any hints on use? -----Original Message----- From: Frances Stewart [mailto:francess@us.ibm.com] Sent: 01 January 2002 19:52 To: java400-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: remote debugging These options are not currently supported on the iSeries. -Xdebug can be passed in but has no effect I believe. -Xnoagent causes the JVM to fail as an unsupported parameter I think. Is anything like this supported in the AS/400's JVM (1.3.0 on V4R4)? I don't even see -Xdebug listed in the output of java -X. Being able to debug an RMI server on the '400 from NetBeans on my PC would be ultra-cool. -- ____________________________________________________________ Glenn Holmer gholmer@weycogroup.com Programmer/Analyst phone: 414.908.1809 Weyco Group, Inc. fax: 414.908.1601 _______________________________________________ This is the Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 (JAVA400-L) mailing list To post a message email: JAVA400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/java400-l or email: JAVA400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/java400-l. _______________________________________________ This is the Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 (JAVA400-L) mailing list To post a message email: JAVA400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/java400-l or email: JAVA400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/java400-l.
