It's not quite the VAJ repository, but the the open-source (free)
version of NetBeans comes with support for CVS including a built-in
GUI client that will do side-by-side color-coded diffs between your
working copy and versions in the CVS repository.  Check out the
newly-released version 3.3 at www.netbeans.org.
