yikes!  Haven't thought about this in a while... Are S/36s still around?  I
thought IBM ended support a *long* time ago.

The only thing I recall was using S/36 emulation on the AS/400.  I was on a
project where we did that in the short term, then re-engineer the process in
native AS/400 (RPG, I think)

Probably not what you're looking for, though...
