As Art Smet posted, check the value specified for the standard output property (File tab of app server properties in admin console). Then look in that file. Please note that starting in 4.0, System.out.println entries are formatted with a timestamp and threadid as are all message events sent to the standard output log. So maybe start by searching for SystemOut in the log file. (or for what you are specifically outputting).
