The System.out.println( ) msg's show up for me, in
/qibm/userdata/webasadv4/default/logs/Default_Server_stdout.log.  I'm using
WAS v4 AE.  I guess the things for you to check is, find out what the
configured Standard output file & dir is specified for your app server
(admin console File tab on AE).  Does the app server have at least *W
access to this directory and at least *X access to all directories leading
up to it?

don't see them in any log file?
